What does success mean to you? According to Oxford Languages, success means accomplishing an aim or purpose. According to Brene Brown, a shame researcher, success sometimes means just showing up.

I believe success means aiming for a goal, even if that goal is to show up or sit up, stand up, or stand-alone. So what does success mean to you? What's beautiful about determining what success means to you is that you don't have to rely on someone else success to decide what your success is, and you don't have to rely on someone else to tell you if or when you are successful. You can choose for yourself what success looks like and what it means to you. Whether you decide success is just showing up or working tirelessly until you've accomplished your goal, Sucess is personal. Personal weight loss, building a business, relational successes, or spiritual success it's your standard of excellence to gauge, and it is on an individual basis. What success means to one person may not represent the same to the next person. Also, success has no limits. Succeed at something and move on to be successful at something else. Success is in the eye of the beholder. Choosing to show up no matter how intimidating or unpredictable a goal, contest, or purposeful task is, just showing up for the challenge is a personal win. Shoot for the moon; even if you miss, you might land amongst the stars; either way, it's your success to aim for.
